The
Maganlal Dhanjibhai Shah Public Charitable Dispensary was set up
75 years ago to provide
medicines to the needy.It was developed into a full fledged multi
discipline General
Hospital in 1978.
The genesis of the hospital lies in Loard Mahavitr's first
sermon...
"May you relieve someone of his pain and may you help him achieve
eternal peace, may you have
a feeling of compassion for all and may you have no ill
feeling towards any."
"He Who cares for and looks after the ailing and he who

compassionate -he is the one who walks with me."
A true visionary
Shri J.R.Shah had the vision of providing an organized
Health Care
Institution which would serve mankind without any discrimination
of caste, religion or economic status.
It
is this vision which has culminated today into the Shree Mahavir
General Hospital and the shri
B.D.Mehta Heart Institute. The aim of both these hospitals is to
provide the best quality of health
care service to common people of society at affordable cost.
